Priyaraja Electronics Limited has been associated with Indian Telephone Industries (ITI) as an ancillary for the last so many decades. In 60s and 70s, Priyaraja Electronics, supplied all the spares required for Stronger Equipments and Cross Bar. These exchanges were imported from ATE, UK and subsequently from IT&T, Belgium. .

The Indian Dept of Telecommunications had a severe spare-parts problem in view of the high cost charged by overseas suppliers and the long time taken for replenishment of spares. However when Priyaraja Electronics mastered the technology for manufacturing spares, Dept of Telecom’s backlog running to several years (more than 10 years) were cleared in about two year’s time. .
